Fred Van Meerbeke, the , bicyclist, bicyclist, who, under wager is riding from New York to San Francisco, reached here at a late hour, a cake of mud from head to foot, his wheels elogged and dead tired. It is his sixty-eighth sixty-eighth sixty-eighth day out. and he has eighty-two eighty-two eighty-two left, the time allowed for the trip being 150 days. .-- .-- .-- . He has been riding through heavy rains and country roads well nigh im- im- fassable.
