152 the are the HENRY STIER DEAD. Passes Peacefully Away at His Lale Home This Morning BENEATH THE WEIGHT Of Advancing Years Pioneers Fall--Mrs. Charlotte Diggins. This morning at 9 o'clock at 106 Lafayette street, occurred the death Henry Stier. Death was due to the inUrmities of old age. The deceased was born in Marlborough, Germany, April 11, 1816. He came to this country in August, 1834. In 1810 married Charlotte Myers. To them were bom twelve children, aeven of whom survive him, Mrs. Henry Mrs. M. E. Fit/gibbons, Mrs. John Schuchman, Miss Sophia Suer, Jacob Stier, George rftier -and Henry Stier. At the time of his de^th Mr. Stier nineteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was one of the founders of the first German Catholic in this city. At one time he held position of street commissioner. Of late years he has lived a retired surrounded by his dear ones. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning from St. Mary's church.
