DAVID L. THOREN ROCK CITY — David L. Thoren, Rock City, who would have been 90 :his month, died Friday at 12:30 a. m. He was born in Rock Grove Township, Aug. 26, 1865, the son of 7 rederick arid Wilhelmina Thoren. vlr. Thoren married Jennie Barber n 1896 and after she died, married Alma Hofmeister in 1931. He was a former partner in Thoren Bros. ;rocery stores in Rock Grove and Rock City. Mr. Thoren was presently presently retired. Survivors include his wife, Alma; daughter, Mrs. Florence, Rowen, Freepori; two brothers, Charles S. and Homer D., both_of_Rock City^ and a granddaughter. Three brothers brothers and three sisters preceded him n death. Mr. Thoren was a member of lock City Evangelical United Brethren Church. Funeral service will be Sunday at 2 p. m. (CST) at he church, with the Rev. Warren Evinger, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rock Grove Cemetery.
