Fresnan Denied Citizenship In Kecond_Petition Emilio Giometti Fails To Await Five Year Probationary Probationary Limit 8 Emilio Giometti of Fresno, a former partner in the Yosemile Brewing Brewing Company and who was denied citizenship in the United States November 18, 1935, today was turner down for a second time. . Giometti's petition for citizenship was denied by Superior Judge F Conway on the motion of Examiner Z. B. Jackson, who said that five years during which the applicant applicant should demonstrate his goot moral character have not elapsed since Giometti last sought citizen- · Co'nway informed Giomett'rhe will be eligible to file his petition any time subsequent to November 18th Has Record Of 17 Arrests Giometti was denied citizenship in 1935 because his record at thai time did not show five years of moral character. Files of .the naturalization naturalization department show the 'Fresnan has a record of seventeen .arrests, seven of which were lor liquor law violations during the ·hibition era. The last criminal i«- ord · of the department in 1935 charges Giometti illegally shot horned larks, for which he paid fine of $50. Giometti, however, contended contended his son shot the birds. '.
