PARIS AGY IN FLAGS . TO GREET LEGION Liners Bearing Peshing and 2d A. E. F, Due at France . Today PARIS, Sept. 15. CAP.). Paris and the Atlantic ports of France are gay with, bunting and flags tonight, ready to welcome tomorrow and the next day that Great Peacetime Armada which brine the American Legion. A dozen ships with thousands of former American soldiers aboard are nearing the French coast. General John J. Pershing, who ten years igo slipped across the sea in - fested vith - submarines and entered this country then in the midst of war with a few staff officers, will return tomorrow with bands playing and flaps flapping in the breeze. The booming of the guns of French warships and the roar of the motors of the airplanes circling overhead will welcome him and his compaions aboard the Leviathan who were once soldiers in his victorious army. The Leviathan w:U anchor off Cherbourg sometime after 2 a.m. tomorrow tomorrow and during then ext 43 hours a whole fleet of ships will disembark an army of buddie on the shores of re nee and Belgium, all of them bound for Paris and the convention which opens Monday.
