Change of Venue In Laredo Murder Case Trial of J. T. Wise for Slaying of Girl Sent to Carrizo Spring* LAREDO. Nov. 18. - (INS) - The trial of Jesus T. Wise, accused of murder, was transferred this morning morning to Carrizo Springs, Dimmit county. county. The trial, originally called here in the 49th district court, was changed on the motion of District Judge J. F. Mullally. Wise is charged with the killing of Ethel Carlos He is a former chief deputy tax assessor of Webb county, and later waa a clerk in the comptroller* comptroller* department at Austin, j Defense attorneys stated this morning morning that they desired to file a motion motion of their own for change of venue. The court told them they could file the motion later, but that he had determined to change the venue to Dimmit county. The change, the court explained, was made because because the wide publicity of the case made it impossible to secure a jury for a fair and impartial trial. The trial at Carrizo Springs will be held Feb. 10.
