a Charles W. Munnell Charle:; W. Munnell, 77, died yesterday noon, Sept. 12, 1947, at his home" in 331 North Pitt Street, Mercer, after nn extended illness. He was born Sept. 30, 1870, in Springfield Township, a son of Thomas and Elizabeth Young Munnell. He. grew up and farmed in that township until a number of years ago when he purchased the Newton Jones farm on the Mercer- Greenville road, at the edge of Mercer. There he continued his residence until a short time ago, when continued illness caused him to sell his farm and move into Mercer. He was a member of the Mercer United Presbyterian Church and a former member of Coolspring Grange. In December, 1896, he married Kli/.abeth Reed, daughter ! of Mr. and Mr.s. Thomas Reed, and i they .''p< nt t.ieir entire married life i i the Mercer community. Beside,; his wife, hu is survived by a son, Clifford Munnell, of Fredonia; a daughter, Mrs. Howard Bell, of Sharon; six grandchildren; i .six great-grandchildren; three I hrothers, John Munnell and Fred | Munnell of Mercer and Bert Munnell of Englewood, Kans.; and a sister, Mr.s. Frank Dodds, East Butler Street, Mercer. Funeral services will be held Monday at '2 p. m. at the Miller funeral home, Mercer, and will be conducted by hi.s minister, Rev. Ferdimore E. Vog: i, of the Mercer United Presbyterian Church. Burial will be made in the Mercer Citizens Cemetery. Friends will be received at the residence this evening and Sunday aflerno: -. and evening.
