City observes 'Day of Infamy* Saturday ceremonies commemorating commemorating the 50th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor turned back the clock for many of those participating. Sponsored by the City of Kokomo and the Howard County Council of Clubs, the events kicked off Friday, with videotape showings showings and memorabilia displays all day both days. Church bells rang in the anniversary anniversary of "the day of infamy," and a flag-raising ceremony, presented presented by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1151, began Saturday's events.
