McKinley Region. you On the stage which arrived yesterday yesterday from the coast, Harry Karstens Karstens received a copy of Archdeacon Archdeacon Stack's book, "The Ascent of Denali," which has just been published by Charles Scribner's Sons. The book is well bound in cloth and has about forty half-tone illustrations of the party and the Mt. McKinley region. The first chapters of the book are devoted to the desire to climb the loftiest peak in North America, and to the subsequent arrangements made by the author and Harry P. Karstens. Within the first four or five pages, the author gives a brief history of each one of the party, and tells of the other accomplishments accomplishments of Karstens in the way of trail-breaking and exploration. Following the first few chapters is an account of the start and the actual journey up the mountain. The latter part of the book deals almost entirely with the scientific aspects of the climb. Many of the pictures, taken on the mountainside and at the summit, summit, are very clear, considering the difficulties under which they were taken, and in themselves form a very interesting part of the book. As it is so late in the season now, the book dealers of Fairbanks will not receive supplies of the edition until after the opening of- MclNTOSH PRESCRIPTION CUSHMAN STREET ._ '.-j. According to announcement made last evening; by the entertainment committee of Camp Cleary, No. 22, of the Arctic Brotherhood, that organization organization will hold another dance at its home next Saturday evening. Dancing will start at 9 o'clock and will last until 2 o'clock the following following nioining. Special stages will run from Chatanika and the Summit Summit roadhouse, and the usual laree crowd is expected to attend. The camp also will furnish a more elaborate luncheon than usual.
