late Two Texans die in plane crash * BAY MINETTE, '$£. (AP) A 1 Te'xan and his small son were killed in the crash of their single-engine plane in a wooded area Friday. '' ? Officials said the plane apparently came .apart in flight and wreckage was scattered over a wide area. Officers said there was no sign of an explosion. The body of the pilot, identified as George H. Vance of Kemah, Tex., was found near the cockpit, and that of his 10-year- old son was found some yards away. The plane went down in a sparsely settled area about 15 miles west of Bay Minette while on a flight from Houston, Tex., to Crestview, Fla. A resident of the Whltehouse Fork community, Mrs. Vera Brown, said she heard what sounded like thunder and looked up to see wreckage falling.
