Adah Clark ARTESIAN Funeral services for Adah Clark, 8fi, will be Thursday, Oct 21 at 1:30 p.m. at the United Church of Christ at Wessington Springs with the Rev. Tom Lammers officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Artesian. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening at Lee's Funeral Service at Wessington Springs. She was born April 7. I88fl at Swan, Iowa to Mr. and Mrs. Immanuel Proffitt, and she died Oct. 18 ;it the Wessington Springs hospilal She moved to the Artesian area in 1911 and taught country school. On Sept. 14, 1914 she married LeRoy Clark. They moved to Jerauld County in 1933, and she moved to Wessington Springs in 1935 where she worked as a bookkeeper for the R.L. Flittie Creamery and Orville Thorton until retiring in 1954. She had been living at (he Woonsocket nursing home for the past five years, and was a member of the Congregational Church and the Rebekan Lodge Survivors include two daughters, Vesta Clyde of Howard and Vernis Wilson of Trimonth, Minn., eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her parents, one son, and a daughter. The family prefers memorials.
