COLUMBUS, 0., July 24. —Yesterday morning Henry Greer shot and dangerously dangerously wounded his mistress, Fanni* Breakly, alias Yeddings. Greer, who a a married man, over 50 years of ago, and the father of five children, is env ployed as a tinner at the Central asy- luin. Some time ago, while at work at Nelsonville. he made the acquaintance of the Yeddings woman, wlio returned to this city with him and whom hi placed in apartments here recently. The woman learned that her elderly lover was married, and as she had grown tired of him she resolved to "shake him." Greer's jealousy was aroused, and frequent quarrels ended in the shooting, and Greer is in jail and his victim in the hospital. The ball, •which was of 2S-ealiber, entered 09- low the right breast, inflicting a serious, but not necessarily fatal, wound.
