Oscar Wolfkill Jr. Owner of Wolfkill Disposal Service Oscar Wolfkill Jr., 74, of 407 Main St., Bellwood, died Friday, Aug. 29,1997 at the Altoona Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Wolfkill was bom Aug. 11, 1923 inMcVeytown, theson of Oscar Sr. and Sarah Irene (Harshbarger) Wolfkill. He was married on Feb. 1,1946 in Cumberland, Md. to F. Gertrude Miller, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Rodney A. of Mays Landing, N.J. and Kenneth D. of Los Vegas, Nev.; daughter-in-law, Rebecca N. Wolfkill of Los Vegas; two granddaughters, Suzette N. and Sarah N. Wolfkill, Los Vegas; and great-grandson, Darren Wolfkill, also of Los Vegas; one sister, Frances A. Youngkin, Altoona; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dale Wolfkill. Mr. Wolfkill was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater. He retired in 1980 as owner and opera- tor of Wolfkill Disposal Service, Bellwood, after 30 years service. He also served as a police officer for the Borough of Bellwood for 10 years. Mr. Wolfkill was a member of Logan Valley Presbyterian Church, Bellwood. He enjoyed traveling, sports, and loved his family. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Bellwood; a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; and the United Veterans Association of Bellwood and Antis Township. Funeral services for Mr. Wolfkill wereheld today (Sept. 2,1997) at 1 p.m. at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, 618 Martin St., Bellwood, with the Rev. Timothy Wilt officiating.
