DOG BESCUES A CHILD. . A Newfoundland dog. which for the last six months has been running at large In the vicinity of the' High . Bridge Police Station, Station, getting Its food wherever It could, last night rescued a child from drowning, and Is now the mascot of . the police of the High Bridge Station. The child who was rescued rescued Is Nettle, the seven-year-old seven-year-old seven-year-old seven-year-old seven-year-old daughter daughter of Charles Dorian, an engineer on the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad, Railroad, who lives at Wolf Street and Sedgwick Avenue. Mrs. Dorian, the child mother, went dowt to Keann's boathouse at tbe foot of Wolf Street last evening for the purpose of giving giving hbr daughter a boat ride, while waiting waiting for the boat to be prepared the woman and her daughter stepped on a raft where a number of other children were playing. The Dorian child accidentally fell Into tbe Water. Mrs. Dorian screamed as loud as she could, and became so excited that she could do nothing to help her child. When he saw the child in the water he jumped In, and. catching her dress near the neck, held her above water until she was lifted out by Roudeman Shea of tbe High Bridge Station, who was passing the ooatnouse ana neara ine momers screams.
