W f HEP1.ER RETIRED R. R. EMPLOYE, DIES Former Shamokin Resident Succumbs at Home of Daughter. William C. Hepler, 77, a former Shamokin resident, was found dead in bed yesterday at the . heme of his daughter, Mrs. Phillip Wurst, Gordon. Death was ascribed to complications. A native of the Mahantongo Valley, Valley, Mr. Hepler lived in Shamokin more than 40 years. He was living with his daughter for the past five years. A master carpenter on the Shamokin Shamokin division of the Reading Railroad, Railroad, Mr. Hepler was retired seven years ago. Surviving are three other children: children: Mrs. Ethel Bernhardt, Gordon; Gordon; George L. Hepler, Sunbury; William Hepler, Phoenixville; a! brother, Emmanuel Hepler, Pitman; j three sisters, Rachel Hepler, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Rebecca Hunt, Tren ton, N. J., and Mrs. Richard Hubler, Lakeside, Schuylkill County. Private funeral services are sched uled for 12:30 a. m. Thursday at the Wurst home in Gordon. Addi tional services will be held in Trin- Trin- ity United Evangelical Church here at 2:00 the same afternoon. Rev J. A. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows' Cemetery. Cemetery.
