Mrs. Virena Robbins, Mother of Nine, Dies Mrs. Virena Mockbee Robbins. 77, of rural route 1, died at 10:55 p. m. Thursday in her home leaving her husband, nine children, 29 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Mrs. Robbins was born in Mil- ford county, Ky. March 3. 1870, a daughter of Jacob and Eliza Ash-craft Mockbee. She moved to Illinois with her parents in 1884 and since her marriage to Andrew H. Robbins Fob. B, Iflnl) lind lived most of the time In Macon county. She was a member of the Illini Congregational church. Mrs. Robbins leaves her husband and the following children: Eliza. Mary Elizabeth, Robert L. and Mrs. Bennie Lukens, all of Decatur; Mrs. Will Sibthorp and Arthur of Warrensburg; John H. and Mrs. Reble Chamberlain, both of Los Angeles, und Williird of lliirris-town. . She also leaves a brother, 'Charles of Niantic, 29 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Black and Thelma Dorothy Robbins and nine brothers and sisters preceded her in death. The body is at the Dawson & Wikoff funeral home where friends may call after 10 a. m. today. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p. m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with burial in Mechanics-burg cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
