a - j - - PICTURES OF RENO FIGHT ' ARE BEING SHOWN HERE Ringside Views of Jeffries - Johnson Battle Exhibited in City for First Time. Pictures of the Jeffries - Johnson fight were shown for the first time in the city to large and Interested audiences at the I'antages theatre yesterday afternoon and evenlns. Now, there is no occasion to petition the city council or the legislature to prohibit the showing of these pictures, for they are not the much discussed motion pictures, the exhibition of which has been prohibited in some of tha American state!. These picture! are to fistic critics, at least, the next best thing to the motion pictures of the much talked of but very d.f - appointing fight. For they are excellent ringside photographs, showing almost as well as the actual motion pictures would just what a one - sided contest that affair at Keno was. These views thrown on the screen are the property of John L. Sullivan, the former world'e champion, who is showing at the Pantages this week on his farewell tour. John L.. who attended the battle In the capacity of a representative of a New York paper, secured theie splendid photos showing various atages of the battle. Vrom the first to the fifteenth rounds, aa well as some Interesting views of Reno, before and after the championship bout. The pictures are very entertalnly explained by Frank Hall, Sulllvan'g manager, who was also present at the fight.
