BITES ED FOR TlfpNTS 'hilipsburg Friends Mourn John/\Va|dberg and Reuben Conn. PHILIPSBURG, Fcb.~ 15. — (Spe- ial) : — Obsequies have been conducted here for two veteran residents of this area. Services were held for John Valdberg, who died at his home anoh on Rock creek. Pr.Mbearers were Eric Johnson, Henry Wyman. John Rodda, John Parfitt, James Dlssett and Ed Sanders, Mr. Waldberg, a native of Sweden, Vad been a resident of Granite county 50 years, where he engaged n mining during his early residence icre, later locating on the well- known Walbcrg ranch which was leadqnarlers for sportsmen from :he western part of the slate. Surviving are his widow and two laughters, Mrs. Josephine Rnpp. Philipsburg, Mrs. Vcrn Cormley of Spokane. Wash. Funeral services were held for Reuben Conn. 80. veteran, rancher, who died at the home of his icphew, Allen Conn, near Hall. Interment was made in New Chicago cemetery. : Reuben Conn, a native of Kentucky, was reared in Misronri. He came west in 1882. locating iii Butte, where he remained until 1384, when :ic came to New Chicago, where he mgaged in the mercantile business, later locating on a ranch near Hall, where he has since made his residence. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Shul], Ronnn; two nephews. Allen and James Conn. Hal], and five nieces, including Mrs. Ethel Tmklepaugh of Philipsburg.
