j I j Upper Michigan Briefs IRON RIVER —An airplane was used to drop food to Tony Benzie, j 58, employed by Henry Basto as a pulp cutter in the Blockhouse district, 12 miles north of Iron! River, where he was stranded due j to floods in that area. Basto became concerned about his employe when the raging waters of the Paint river last week washed out the small bridge leading to the area where Benzie was working alone. Basto knew he was running out of food and engaged Ed Nasser Jr., west side airplane owner, to fly over the area and drop some groceries and meats.
