EffDICTMENTS_ EBTURXED. Irand Jury Returns a Batch of About Thirteen. Yesterday afternoon, the grand jury returned a number of indictments In ^ne cases which the members havt been examining. Among the cases which are known and in which the dej -endants are either in jail or fugitives from justice are quite a number. John Nan Scoy, Mart Leverton, Elza Dimmitt, Peggy Benson and C. P. Perry were all indicted for aiding and abetting m the escape of a prisoner. They- ail got away in are recent jail de- ivenes. Benson and Ferry have been captured and will be made to stand :heir trials on the old charges against -hem as well as on the- new charge Dimmitt, if caught, and Benson also wm.be made to answer to the charge of assualt with intent to commit murder on the person o£ Jailer A. R Max- veil Perry will likely have a long term n the penitentiary to serve before he again is a free man. When he assisted in the escape.of the gang who bound Jailer Vickers, lie had only 10 days to serve and was a trusty ana now .he faces conviction on a serious charge.
