Faerber, and Paul Van 3ode were found guilty of murder. Berber was sentenced to life and van Bode was sentenced to a terra of ten yeai's. _<-. Daughter Slakes Appeal Mrs. Winnifred Millen, daughter of. he aged woman prisoner, made an eloquent appeal for the freedom of her mother. An attorney, J. A. Glea- on, and several friends of the Faer- )er family likewise appeared to urge favorable action on the application The pardons board, meeting for tha I first time since the summer recess, continued the case of Roy E. Donnell who applied for commutation of a' life sentence, until the October session. Donnell, convicted of murdering Charles A. Faus, prominent Salt Lake business man, in 1922, has served approximately ten years and i live months. Gilbert Brighton, con- * victed jointly with Donnell of th« crime, had his life sentence commuted to 20 years in April, 1931.
