William Cockrum Hialeah, Flo. William D. Cockrum, 48, of Hialeah, Fla., a former Whittington resident, died Monday in a Hialeah hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Cockrum will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Johnston Funeral Hwne in Whittington. The Rev. Dwigbt Eteme will officiate and biu-ial will be in Maple Hill cemetery in Sesser. Tile body will lie in state at the Johhston Funeral Home where friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Cockrum was bom Feb. 22, 1924, in Illinois, the son of WiUiam S. and Edith (Hall) Cockrum. He was married to Geraldine Farr, who preceded him in death in 1963. He was a me^mber of the Sesser VFW. Mr. Cockrum is survived by his mother, Edith Cockrum, Mt. Vernon; a sister, Mrs. Mortwi Fred, Mt. Vernon; a half-sister, Da Harl, Sesser, and a niece, Marlene K. Fred, Mt. Vernon.
