There is a gang ol young hoodlums which nightly infest the -bridge crossing crossing ,-the south arm of the Wabash river at Biddle's Island insulting" both men and women and doing all in their power to make life a burden for all whose misfortune it is .to cross the bridge while the gang is reveling in their fiendish orgies. The members of this tough gang raoge from 17 to 20 years of age, old enough to know better. Not content with' insulting passersby they frequently hurl stones and other missiles at them and do various other things contrary to the law and dignity of the Stat.e and the peace of -the residents of the South Side. One man who lives near by the rendezvous of the gang- says that a policeman is never seen on the Suuth Side. However true or untrue this may.be the gang ought to be dispersed and people who live south of the Wabash protected in their rights and privileges.
