yesterday a TUN MEMORIAL GOJI ST. LOUIS ST. LOUIS, Sept. 18--(AP)--A suggestion that a proposed $1000 000 memorial to Mark Tivain planned originally for New York Washington, be placed in St. will be submitted to Mayor Dickmanh, following a visit here the sculptor, Walter Russell of York. An international campaign to for the memorial is planned. The suggestion, approved by the Missouri writer's daughter, Mrs Clara Clemens Gabrilowitsch, was conveyed to Russell at a, luncheon at the Noonday Club. Russell said that if Sfc. Louis was unable to accept the memorial it would be offered to Chicago. The memorial would consist of basic reliefs and seven groups of sculptured bronze figures, representing representing Mark Twain's characters. The central figure would contain figures with the author in the center. Tiie sronp would be about feet long, with the figures more than twice life-size.
