Mrs. Joseph Clawson, one of the oldest residents of Punxs-utawney. died on Monday of last week at the homo of her daughter, Mrs. Martin Dick, of near Penn Run, where she iKid been staying for the last three' months, of a complication of disease* incident to old age, she being in' her M'th year. She was born in Indiana county and was n daughter of Da.vid McQuown. hlio married Joseph Clawson; an Indiana, Indiana, county farmer and came to Punxsutawney Punxsutawney in 18G5, living there until the tune,' of her death. For some few years she had been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Martin 'Williams. 'Williams. Four children survive her as fallow:a Mrs. Martin Dick, of-Mitchells of-Mitchells MI ia; Mrs. Martin Williams, Arch ClawKon and Mrs. J. S. Mogle., who live in Punxsutawney. • Mrs. CinwHon is also survived by three s and two sisters: John, James Samuel McQuown; Mrs. Mary Clawson and Belle McQuown. Funeral Funeral Kemps' were held Wednesday by •-GV. J. B. Eakins of the Central Pres- u.vterian church and interment was »-ade in the Presbyterian graveyard' at Covotle.
