PHILIP D. McCONNELL, 55, husband of Myrtle Tyger Me- Connell, of Indiana R.D. 1, died on Sunday, Feb. 25, 1968, as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident. A son of Philip and Elizabeth Dewalt McConnell, he was born Aug. 3, 1912, in Blairsville. Mr. McConnell was terminal superintendent for the Humble Oil Co. at their Indiana plant south of Indiana and had been resident of the Indiana area for over 35 years. He was a member of St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church; Father McNelis Council 1481 of the K. of C.; Indiana Lodge 931, B P O.E. and Indiana Post 1989 of the VFW. He was also a veteran of World War II. His wife, Myrtle E. Tyger McConnell, also died as a result of injuries sustained in the same accident. Surviving are: a son, Philip P and a daughter, Kathryn B., botth at home; two sisiters: Mrs. William (Elizabeth) Sullivan of Indiana; Mrs. John (Dorothea) Rose of Apollo. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana, where members of Father McNelis Council of the K. of C. will join in reciting the Rosary on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. Requiem High Mass will be offered at St. Bernard's Church on Thursday at 9 a.m. on on Interment will be "made in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
