Dee Beer officiated. Edward Korneisel was vocalist, with Mrs. Jesse Purdy at the organ. organ. The Eastern Star Memorial service was given at the cemetery by members of Odebolt Chapter No. 349. • i Pallbearers were J. C. Barkley, C. A. Teaquist, Wiliam Sykes. Lyle Paul, Wayne Stratton and Guy Thayer. Honorary pallbearers : were grandsons Donald Snyder, Robert Kelly, Russell Kelly, Billy Pruss, John Pruss and John David j Fuchs. Interment was in the Ode-1 bolt cemetery. Mrs. Slater, the former Elizabeth Elizabeth Christine Pfciffer, was born 2 in Lee County. 111., Sept. 5, 1885, i a daughter of John and Lena Peif- j fer. In 1888 the family moved to j a farm near Odebolt. On Sept. 18,i 1907, she married John Fuchs of j Odebolt. He died in July, 1937, i and on Oct. 28, 1942, she married i William Slater of Anita, where her i home had been since then. Mr. j Slater died in March, 1955, and for' the last few years she had beenjvivecl staying with her daughters be-! cause of poor health. i Mrs. Slater died at the home of i her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Pruss in O'Neill, Neb., Oct. 7. She was a member of (he First Presbyterian Church, j Garden Club, and Order of Eastern Star, and received pin as a 50-year member of East-j ern Star last year. " tha Kopp, Atlantic; Mrs. Mclvin (Amber) Snyder, Lake View; Mrs. Ivan (Eleahor) Pruss: O'Neill, Neb.; Mrs. Vincent (Florence) I Kelly, Omaha; and Mrs. Lyle (Bet- ty> Wohlleber, Anita; also 16 grandchildren, seven great-grand-i children, two sisters and three brothers. Relatives from Utah, Pittsville, Wis,, Indianapolis, Ind., Omaha, Boone, Sioux Rapids, Ogden, Paul Una, Sutherland, Spencer and! neighboring towns attended the ; services.
