Eric 'Ole' Anderson Eric "Ole" Anderson, 79, of 412 North Chestnut, died Friday afternoon afternoon at his home. His health had been failing for five years. He was born December 21, 1896, in Mediapolis, Iowa, and came to lola with his parents in 1909. He married Marguerite Jeffers September 19, 1927, and worked for the lola electric department for several years until his retirement in 1962. While in the Army, Anderson fought in the Mexican border uprising and World War I. He was a member of the American Legion. Survivors include the widow. Marguerite, of the home; two sons, Eric Anderson of Topeka and Norman Anderson of Wich ta; four grandchildren, grandchildren, and two great­ grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Caleb Anderson. Funeral services will be at 10:30 Monday, at the graveside in Highland Cemetery. The Rev. Arthur Mix will officiate, and arrangements are being handled by the Waugh-Yokum Funeral Home.
