Robert Carman, Local Leader, Succumbsrtt~~ Robert B. Carman, 424 Fourth St., Hillcrest, Tyrone, who had been in failing health for the past four years, succumbed last night at 11:30 o'clock in Tyrone Hospital. Hospital. Prior to his retirment in 1964 he had been one of the community's community's most active leaders for several decades. Death came on his 63rd birthday anniversary. He had served presidencies in the Pennsylvania Stone Producers Producers Association, the Tyrone Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trustees of the Grier School. He had held directorships in the Tyrone Improvement Corp., the Tyrone Hospital, the Tyrone Playground Association, the Spruce Spruce Creek Rod & Gun Club, the Sinking Valley Country Club, the Tyrone Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Boy Scout Camp Anderson and the Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce.
