2/8/1894 Lawrence Weekly World
In the course of a private letter to the editor of the World Mr. S. Stude-baker, who is spending the winter in California says: As I look out of the window and see the mountain! snow I am made to think, "Behold the wonders of the earth." It has been said that this was a land of sunshine and flowers and it is true. I am stopping with Moses Flory, an old Lawrence boy. My health is good, I can look out of the window and see flowers every where in the valley.
