Led by two of the fastest playing forwards ever seen on the local Misses Ruby Bennett and Elizabeth Cherry, the Brownsville quint under bhe mentorship of Miss Valenta, proved · too strong for the local team and they walked away with, big end of a 28 to 8 score, yesterday yesterday afternoon on the local fiold. The visiting quint, proved a fine, smooth working team, and La Feria was outplayed throughout the game. Forward Ashworth for La Fsria proved high scor«r for her team, looping -the hoop three times, while Forward Graham also threw a field goal. Margaret Hughston, j u m p i n cent e r . f o r the visitors, and Elodia Pacheco, r u n n i n g center; Cabler Walton, guards, the starting, lineup for Brownsville, displayed teamwork par excellence. Huphston and Pacheco, especially looked good at center, while Walton and Cabler at guards, proved a wall on defense. The games -were witnessed by a sized crowd.
