IW COAST REGATTA five Marin Yacht Fleets invited i havt been invited to compete in tiu 1949 Pacific Coast championship re gatta to San Francisco bay August 117-21, it was announceo toaay. Lewis, SawaHto. Robert Potter of the Corinthian Yacht Club, race committee chair- I man, said pleasure craft enthusiasts jfrom as far away as Alaska, Hawaii and San Diego are expected to vie in the five-day classic of western yachting. Sponsors are seeking a large' representation from all northern California yacht clubs, which are assisting as hosts to the visiting sportsmen. The St. Francis Yacht Olub wiii be headquarters for this first re-' gatta held in San Francisco since Entry blanlcs are now avail able there. Class races are. planned for the i following one design classes: Star, Acorn, Bear, Golden Gate, Junior Clipper Pacific Inter-Club (P. I. C).
