a sin pas t the no Carhart told Mrs. Pearl Irene Carhart, 83, of 528 E. 8th St., Alton, died at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday at the Jersey Jersey Community Hospital. She iiad been in failing health for the past 10 years and hospitalized hospitalized for a week. A lifetime resident of the Alton Alton area, -she was born June 27, 1886, attended the Alton schools and was confirmed in the 12th Street Presbyterian Church, during during her childhood. In November of 1907, she was united in marriage marriage to Daniel L. Carhart, who died in 1936. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Andrews and Miss Helen Carhart, both of Alton and Mrs. Betty Michael of Long Beach, Calif,; three sons, Robert Robert of Overland, Mo.; George of Norfolk, Va. and Daniel of Englewood, Calif.; nine grandchildren grandchildren ; six great-grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Reinhardt of S't. Louis. She wai preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Visitation at MorrowQuinn Mortuary will be from 3 until p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m. Thursday. Thursday. The body will be moved at 9 a.m. Friday to the 12"th Street Presbyterian Church for funeral services at 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Russell Shaw, pastor, officiating. officiating.
