Charles Coburn Death 1920
Sunday morning at about 3 o'clock occurred the death of IleKalh County's oldest citizen, Charles M. Coburn, nt the home of his daughter. Mrs. Sam uel Kecsler. Mr. Coburn was born Nov. 21, 1S27, In Trumbull County, O. and came here nt the age of 11 years with his parents, Kbeneier nnd Deliv crnncc Wilson Coburn. When about 18 years old he was married to Almlra Milliman. To this union eight children I Ave daughters and three sons, were born, Rosa, Harriet and Agnes Coburn 'and Mrs. Helen Klmes, all deceased I Mrs. Kmma Hart, of this place; Otl : Coburn, of Nebraska; Will anil Charles Coburn, of Michigan. After 'the death of his first wife he wa again married to Jane Allen, who snr :vlves with the following children, who were born to Ibis union: Allen, of this place; Clarence, of Michigan Clay, MrH. Belle Kecsler, John and, 1i'Hler, also of thla place; nnd Harlan of Qulncy, Mass. The body whs tak en to bis own home east of town Sun day afternoon, where Ihe funeral ser 'vices were held Wednesday afternoon nt 2 o'clock, to be conducted by Rev J. O. Rose, of Angola. Interment In Alton cemetery, llesides the eleven Icblldren there are thirty-one thirty-one thirty-one grand (children and Ihlrly-six Ihlrly-six Ihlrly-six great grand children living.
