CIVIL WAR VETERAN DEAD Henry Chubb (Saturday, 16 June 1906, page 1, column 3

Henry Chubb, 82 years of age, died at a local sanitarium Friday [15 June 1906] morning at 5 o'clock. His death was due to diseases incident to old age. His brother, Jerry Chubb, of Topeka, was notified of the the death, and funeral arrangements will not be made until he is heard from. As Henry Chubb was a veteran of the Civil War, it is likely that he will be buried at Fort Leavenworth.
