Meat Dealer's Funeral Set Archie McFarland Rites to Be Monday Funeral services for Archie McFarland, McFarland, 69, 1596 South Main street, president of Archie McFarland & Son, Inc., wholesale meat and livestock livestock dealers, will be conducted Monday at 1 p. m. in the Jefferson L. D. S. ward chapel, 1510 Richards street, by Bishop Harold F. Stewart. Stewart. Mr. McFarland McFarland died Friday evening at his home. Born January 15, 1867, at West Weber, Mr. McFarland McFarland was a son of Archibald and Isabella Mitchell McFarland. His father was an early pioneer of Utah and had served two terms in the state legislature. legislature. 'Mr. McFarland Since coming to Salt Lake City in 3891, Mr. McFarland had operated operated a wholesale meat and livestock concern, which at the time of his death was running cattle in practically practically every western state, and owned a feed yard at Payette, Idaho, and a ranch in southeastern Oregon. Mr. McFarland was married October October 20, 1886, to Hannah Emeline Nelson, who died in 1920. He was married since to Miss Mamie McClelland, McClelland, sister of the late Professor J. J. McClelland. He had been interested in mining for a number of years and for six years operated a local automobile agency. He also was a member of Salt Lake lodge No. 85. B. P. O. E. Survivors are the widow; a son, Archie Rao McFarland; six grandchildren, grandchildren, Arthur and Barbara Jean Burton, Archie Paul McFarland, Rae Nelson McFarland and Virginia McFarland, and a great-grandson. Pallbearers will be nephews: Clarence Nelson, Roy Hogge, Don McFarland and Thomas Faddis, Salt Lake City, and Archie and Roland McFarland, Ogden. Friends may call at the home, 1596 South Main street, Monday from 10 a. m. until 12:30 p. m. Burial will take place in the City cemetery.
