New Type Building Elevator Plan of No Sup^ Sup^ ports to Be Followed Construction of a 66xl40-foot concrete building at 104-106 East Fourth st. for L. H. Pettit, Hutchinson Hutchinson grain man, will begin next week, it was announced today, To be built like n grain elevator, the structure will be without pillars or other interior support. Walls will be constructed with slip forms that are moved upward in successive steps as the walls rise. Construction contract was let to Chalmers & Borton, engineers, engineers, who built the Farmers Commission Co. • elevator cast of Hutchinson and other concrete structures in this part ol the country. It was undecided today whether the building would be one or two- story, and whether Pettit would move his Diamond T truck agency into the lower floor. An insurance insurance firm was said to be bidding for tlie second floor, if it is added to the building. A building permit issued for its construction listed the cost at $12,000.
