Three Altoona Hurlers Hold Losers To 3 Hits In 7-0 7-0 7-0 Win A trio of Altoona High flingers held Morrison Cove to three hits while their teammates were notching notching seven runs to give the Elephants Elephants a 7-0 7-0 7-0 win in the opening game of the local diamond season at Mansion Park field Wednesday afternoon. The Elephants lost no time as they scored three runs in the first inning on three infield hits, a passed ball and a Cove error. Bobby Fomwalt opened the bottom bottom half of the frame with a grounder to the shortstop which he beat out. The infield was soggy and so the balls did not roll far or fast for the fielders. This helped helped to account for the Elephaift hits.
