It was a Jolly crowd, it was a determined crowd, a manly crowd, and the call to a life of "doing a good turn to somebody every day" met its response no less readily than the pictures pictures of camp-life, camp-life, camp-life, and the ideals of self-reliance, self-reliance, self-reliance, resourcefulness and all-round all-round all-round manliness and worth set forth by the speaker. Mr. Metts pointed out that it is the allurement of a clean life, a strong life, that has drawn together together the half million boys and more of two continents in this greatest boy movement of all lilstory. Following Mr. Metts, Prof. Stevens, the director of Manual training In the public schools, made an enthusiastic little speech In which he expressed his hearty sympathy with the move-: move-: move-: ment and his readiness to help in any way possible.
