last a he tht you we - system. - IS NOT GUILTY George C. Mcleod, former supervisor of enforcement of the B. C. Liquor Control Board, was declared not guilty on three counts of an extortion charge raflcr the Jury had deliberated for more than two hours Friday evening. McLeod was accused of having ac - cepted $50 from Reg. Dodson, colored, manager of the Lincoln Club on Georgia Street Kast. City police detectives arrested McLeod May 13 last, Just after he was alleged to have accepted the money, but J. A. Russell, defence counsel, was successful in hi contention that McLeod had been only exercising his duty In an endeavor to secure evidence against the club and Dodson. While McLeod had been arraigned on six counts. the crown only pressed for a conviction on three of them.
