Douglas, Arizona A new chapter was written in the history of this advanced flying school with the ex - pansion of the training program to include B - 25 instruction and the arival of the fields first Negro pilot trainees. These men. graduates of the flying flying training course at Tuskegee Army Air Field in Alsbama, are now learning to fly the B - 25 Mit chell bombers, as are other offi cer students who heretofore have flown training planes only. Cartoonist At TAAF Second Lieutenant Theodore Car - roll, a former New York commer - cial artist, was recently assigned to the Tuskegee Army Air Field. Giving up his art career to become a member of the armed forces, the newly assigned officer was inducted into the service on September 25, 1942, and received his basic training training at Camp Upton. N. Y. Little did he know that art would play a role in his army career; but at Mitchell Field. N. Y.. he once again began his profession as a member of the staff of the Post paper. Lt.
