Coast the couple will reside in Eureka. \ Silva-Gieseke Marriage Vows Said In Eureka Miss LaVerne Lorraine Silva and Jerry Gieseke were mar-' lied in St. Joseph's Catholic chuch in Eureka at 1 p. m. on July 20 with the Rev. Father Michael deary administering the Sacrament of Martimony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy V. Silva, 525 West Russ street and the groom is the son of Mrs. Edward Bisconer of Yakima, Wash; The bride was escorted to (he altar by her father. Attendants were Miss Carol Reddick of Eureka and Robert Gieseke of Yakima, Wash., brother of the bridegroom. Ushers .were Robert Silva, brother of the bridej and James Hampton of the U. S. of the Coast Guard, friend bridegroom. Mrs. Harold Phillips of .Eureka was soloist and Miss Carla Munther, organist. The bride was lovely in ballerina-length gown created of embroidered tulle with scalloped Sabrina neckline and long sleeves. Her four-tiere ;ballerina veil, in full circle design, was attached to an exquisite plateau cap of Alencon lace, accented with pearls and rhinestones. Her white orchid bouquet mounted on a white prayer book was surrounded by pink flowers and she wore pearl earrings. Her bridesmaid wore a pink silk, organza dress with low neck and full skirt. Her flow ers were pink and white carnations and she wore a headpiece of pink velvet with small veil to match her gown. A reception at Hospitality with relatives and friends as sisting. A color,scheme of and white was carried out table decorations with a three tired cake centering the bride's table. White gladioli were bined with pink flowers. At the church large, baskets of white gladioli were . tied with pink satin bows and bouquets of flowers were in the same colors. The couple left for a wedding trip to Hoberg's in county and the Eureka residence will be an apartment L street. For travel the bride wore vhite linen suit with red accessories. : The new Mrs. Gieseke mted from Eureka high n June of this year. She active in the a cappella choir and following graduation.was employed at .the Eureka .heatre. The .bridegroom was graduated from Yakima senior high school in 1955 and is serving 'in the U. S. Coast Guard, and is presently stationed at the Humboldl station at Samoa. . Arcata Empress Lodge Has Visit From Official Arcata -- Mrs. Margaret Rogers, district deputy president of District 20, made official visit to Empress Rebekah lodge at a recent meeting. She was accompanied- deputy marshall Mrs. Ford. Both officers are from Eureka. Mrs. Rogers gave instruc- tions to-the officers and
