Jacob Webb, aged 88, one of the oldest residents residents of Madison county, died this momtng at 9 o'clock at his borne southwest southwest of the city at Frankton, He had been ill but a few days, and his death w-aB w-aB w-aB a great shock to those who kne.w him. Mr. Webb'i remarkable vitality had been a subject of many discussions among his friends. I'ntll a few week! ago he retained his activities to an exceptional exceptional degree, and would have passed In any boiy of men for not over sixty years of age. His health broke suddenly, however, and he declined declined rapidly after being' taken to his bed. Ho leaves four adult sons, Rene. Jacob and Isaac Webb of Frankton, and John Webb of this city. The funeral funeral will be held at tne Bellrattle church Tuesday afternoon. At the Wbb home lives Mrs. Fophla Brown who is X6 years of age, and who enJo; excellent health, seldom seeing a day when she lg unable to do ordinary housework.
