George Lloyd Figard, 75, of Cold Spring Road, Huntingdon died Monday, June 19, 1972 at 12 noon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Montanari in Monroeville. He was born December 28, 1896 at Six Mile Run, a son of Watson and Harriet (Walters) Figard. He was united in marriage to Merla Bergstresser on September 2, 1925. His wife survives, along with three daughters: Mrs. William (Britta) Montanari, Monroeville; Mrs. William (Helene) Monahan, Hayett; and Mrs. Warren (Jeanelle) Frank, Huntingdon. Figard was the last surviving member of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. He was of the Protestant faith. A movingpictureprojectionist, he was last employed by The Flick theatre at State College. He had served as business agent for Local 636, IATSE, of Lewistown for 16 years. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 22, at 2 p.m. from the Ott funeral home, Orbisonia. The Rev. Walter S. Smith, pastor of the St. James Lutheran Church, Huntingdon will officiate. Interment will be made in the Three Springs Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 o'clock this evening, and on Thursday until the hour of the services.
