OBITUARY-VIOLET OBITUARY-VIOLET OBITUARY-VIOLET GOURLEY. Wanda Violet Lawrence was born near Bado, Missouri, April 18, 1893"; died August 29, 1932, making her age at death 37 years, 4 months and 11 dn - s. Siio was known to her friends as Violet Gourley, having taken her step father's name. She was married to Harry Gourley July 26, 1906. One child, Gloria Ed- Ed- wina, was born to tnis union ana oiea at the age of 11 months. Most of Violet's life was spent in and near Bado. About two years ago she wasi taken to Mt. Vernon, Mo., to the State San atorium, where she was treated for tuberculosis. She came home in a few months, as the treatments did not seem to help her. Since that time she has been cared for by Jier mother at the family home, where she continued to grow weaker until 6hc passed away at the above date. She was very patient in her suffering. All that loving hands could do was done, hut the dear Father knows best and he went to join the little daughter. She asked for the minister and wife to be with her in prayer and she felt at peace with the world. We believe Violet has found a better home be yond, one where there is no more suf fering or pain. She leaves to mourn their loss, a dear mother; two half-brothers half-brothers half-brothers and one half-sister; half-sister; half-sister; R. H. Gourley, Spring field, G. D. Gourley, Bueyrus, and Mrs. Faye Reaves, Bado.; besides several several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. She was laid to rest in Union ccm- ccm- tery in the presence of a large number number of sorrowing relatives and friends. Sleep on, dear Violet, we hope to meet you over there some day.
