Resident, Dies in Lafayette MONTICELLO^-Melvin E" Russow, Russow, 49, of rural route 4, Monticello, Monticello, a prominent White county farmer, died at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday Tuesday at St. Elizabeth's hospital in Lafayette following an illness of two weeks. Born in Livingston county, HI., May 18, 1911, he was the son of Edward and Minnie, (Gebeke) Russow, His marriage on Nov. 26, 1936 was to Helen Martens she survives. He was a member and trustee of the Monticello Methodist church and had lived in the community 47 years. Surviving besides the widow are his mother, Mrs. Minnie Russow, of Monticello; two daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Suiter and Mrs. Sharlene Swayze, both of Monticello Monticello and two grandchildren. His father and one grandchild preceded preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Miller funeral home in Monticello with Rev. J. A. Hornick officiating. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
