S. P. Thomas, 39, Succumbs After Heart Attack Samuel Paul Thomas, 39, of 511 Hawthorne St., died at 11:55 a.m. yesterday in High Point Memorial Hospital. He had been in his usual health until suffering a heart attack Jan. 19. He had been in serious condition since then. Mr. Thomas was born April 29, 1921, in'Franklinvilla, a son of C. Banks and Mattie Allred Thomas. Hi had been a resident of High Point since 1929, coming here from Franklinville. On Feb. 14, 1945, he married the former Nina Wrenn. He was a veteran of World War II. At the time of his death he was a salesman for Lyles Chevrolet Co., and a member of Main Street Methodist Church. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are one daughter, Anne Marie Thomas of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. , Banks Thomas of Franklinville; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Thomas Moon Funeral will be held at 11 a.m tomorrow at Main Street Methodist Church by Rev. Robert H. Starney, pastor. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The body will remain at Sechrest Funeral Home until the hour of the funeral. The family requests that memorials be directed to the Heart Fund. Pugh ears.
