The noted female character, "Calamity Jane," who has figured on, the frontier since 1870, died Sunday afternoon at Terry, eight miles from Deadwood, of inflammation inflammation of the bowels. She had requested requested that she be buried iu Mt. Moriah cemetery, at Deadwood, beside "Wild Biil" Ilickok, who was murdered in 1876. Her name was Mrs. Jane Burke, and her last husbaud, much younger than she, is said to be iu Denver. A married daughter is iu North Dakota, but the woman refused to give her,address, and referred to an estrangement.
