Rochester girl dies from accident injuries PERU - A young Rochester girl died at South Bend Memorial Hospital Sunday from injuries sustained in a accident which occurred Thursday on a Fulton County Miss Sharon Jo Knight, 17, died at 1:35 a.m. Sunday head injuries suffered in the accident. Miss Knight was a passenger in a car driven by W. Eltzroth, 24, 232 W. Tenth St. in Peru. He suffered and bruises and was treated and released at Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester. Also injured in the accident was Eltzroth's bride, the former Frances Knight, 19, formerly of Rochester RR 1, sister of the dead girl. Mrs. Eltzroth, who was released from the Woodlawn Hospital Friday evening, suffered facial lacerations and a neck injury. The driver of the other car, David A. Bixler, 17, Bend, and his cousin, John Bixler, 15, both were admitted a South Bend Hospital following the mishap. John was and David was listed in satisfactory condition Monday. According to reports, the Bixler auto struck the Eltzroth car broadside at the intersection of Fulton County Roads and 150S. According to Fulton County Sheriff Willard Clark, Eltzroth had the right-of-way and apparently Bixler did see the Eltzroth car. Funeral services for Miss Knight will be at:2 p.m. Wednesday from the Foster and Good Funeral Home in Rochester burial will be in the Citizens Cemetery in Rochester.
