Apollo 11 NASA Deputy Chief Photographer
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Charles S. Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs, H. K. Allen, 1312 E. Central Ave., Estherville, is a member of the organization that has played a major role in the Apollo 11 lunar landing mission. He is deputy chief of the photographic photographic division in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Administration's Marshall Space Flight Center, Huntsville, Ala. The huge Saturn V Rocket that lifted Apollo 11 from earth was developed under the direction of the Marshall Center, NASA's largest organization. Allen, a 1950 graduate of Estherville Estherville High School, received his B. A. degree in 1956 from the University of Iowa. His wife, Mary, is the daughter daughter of Mr. and Mrs. FredKrough, Rt 1, Estherville.
